How the escrow payment system works
When the recruiter accepts a budget, the funds are held in escrow (they are not transferred to the creator). The money is only released to the creator when both parties confirm that the work has been completed satisfactorily. This protects both the recruiter and the creator.
The creator declines the request
Immediate full refund. The funds were never held in escrow.
The contract is cancelled before the creator starts
Full refund of the funds in escrow, minus the handling fee (2.9%).
The creator does not deliver by the agreed deadline
The recruiter can open a dispute. If the breach is confirmed, a full refund is issued.
The delivered work does not meet the agreed requirements
The recruiter can reject the delivery and open a dispute. The Talenzy team will mediate.
The work was completed and both parties confirmed it
No refund applies. The funds were already released to the creator.
Commissions are non-refundable once payments have been processed, except in the case of a technical error on our side.
Once a refund is approved, the funds take between 3 and 10 business days to appear in your account or on your card, depending on your bank. Refunds to digital wallets within Talenzy are immediate.
